Londoners taking to cycling

Here in London the amount of people cycling has definitely increased. You see this out on the road (and pavement) during rush hour and at other times. It now seems as though there are statistics to back this up. 

Londoners have apparently returned to cycling in much higher numbers than anywhere else in the country. Take a visit to London bike shops and this might become more obvious as there are shortages in lots of different bikes. 

My only hope is that there is more thought given to cycle-friendly routes and dedicated lanes - pop up or permanent - to cope with the increase numbers out there sharing the same space!!
