The strangest sights in London!!

This morning I was doing a few rounds that saw me say hello to a few friends, have a cup of tea, a slice of cake and chew the fat for a bit. On my way I saw a sight that was truly astonishing.

Many would say that in London you are almost guaranteed to see something rather strange however I am sure the same would apply to wherever you, dear reader, live.

I was heading towards from Notting Hill towards Holland Park along Clarendon Road when all hell was breaking loose. There was yelling and horns sounding. As I got closer I could see a cyclist on a mountain bike with two large Sainsbury's bags hanging from each handlebar. The cyclist was in the middle of the road, cycling from side to side and not giving an inch. He was also sitting on an entire seat cushion of a sofa. I don't mean a cushion, I mean the actual part you sit on. It really did make my day!

Sadly, lots of motorists and taxi drivers - probably quite rightly - weren't as amused as I was, hence the general commotion. I wish that I had of managed to get a photo or video of it but sadly the fact I was a cyclist (along with the couple of other riders that were around at the same time) meant that some of the anger was starting to get directed our way too. The fact that I found it all rather funny probably didn't help.

What is the strangest thing you have seen out on your travels?

Stay safe out there people!!

  1. Definitely the guy riding with a broken leg, full cast, one crutch on back, one on the handlebars. Although, not strange, just nuts. Probably strangest thing I've seen is a Deliveroo rider with lights after dark.
