Orange Altura Night Vision Jacket

On the Velonotte a few weeks ago it became apparent at about 3:00 in the a.m. that my current waterproof had crucially lost a great deal of the qualities that make it waterproof. I therefore decided to get another.

I opted for an Altura Night Vision jacket in a fetching orange. The jacket is a great fit and had a good cut in the arms and back that allow for comfortable cycling. Other features include a fleece lined collar, drawstring waist and neck and lots of vents. The feature I like e most is a Velcro strip on the rear where you can attach an LED light.

As you can see from the photo the many panels really do shine in light and show up for quite some distance. They are all over the place, including the rear.

Tomorrow I am certain that I will use my new jacket in anger at the Brompton Factory Ride. As I will definitely be taking my beloved Orange Brompton, I will be one of possibly many Bromptonians who insist on colour coordinating their outfit with their bikes!
