The British Library and Highgate Cemetery connection

Between the stations Euston and St Pancras on the Euston Road stands the British Library. It is a great place to have a look around but you might have to step over the various cables from the laptops of students who now seem to use every possible seat as a study, chill or lazing about area.

The British Library is renowned as one of the world's preeminent research libraries and proudly claims the title of the national library of the United Kingdom. Established in 1973, it emerged from the vast troves of the British Museum's collection, which traces its roots back to the Good Old Days of 1753.

London to Maldon nocturnal on a Brompton?

It seems like ages ago now, but on Friday, 5th September, I embarked on the last official nocturnal group ride of the season to Maldon. Well, almost Maldon, hence the question mark in the blog title. More on that later though.

It all happened 15 years ago!

It was 15 years ago to the very day where I posted my first blog post about placing an order for a Brompton bicycle. My Brompton journey actually started quite a few years earlier where I was gifted a Brompton that stayed with me all the way through my university studies. I have been on countless adventures and more nocturnal rides than I would have ever thought possible. Friendships have been made, many of which I hope will last a lifetime.

Quite interesting ride on my Orange Titanium Brompton - Part 3

Hello there! I finally managed to write the final part of this ride that took place a few weeks ago. At the end I will provide links for parts 1 and 2 if you have not seen them.

11, Bonnington Square, Vauxhall.

A quaint slice of London with a history as colourful as the flowerbeds tended by its residents. Built back in the 1870s to house railway workers, this little enclave quickly found its feet - or should I say, its roots?

Chelsea's rural heritage seen on a Brompton G-Line

The other day I found myself cycling in the now rather fancy Chelsea. As I past this particular building, first seen on one of Ross’s brilliant quite interesting Sunday rides a few years ago, I decided to stop and take a few photos of my Brompton G-Line…and the building in question of course! Yes you read that correctly…rural.

The cows head on the building were once the mooo-dels (sorry, I could not resist) for Wright's Dairy, which proudly served Londoners with milk, from the late 1700s.
