I quite simply would not lock it to anything in public and just take the bike with me. I suppose it is part of the appeal of a Brompton. I too am hesitant to leave my Brompton out of my sight but bikes are not allowed in my school building so I purchased a Arbus lock, which I am told are very good. I also secure it with a second lock just to makes theivery a bit more complicated. Still, perhaps a Kryptonite lock would be in order.
